ALBUS
There’s something magical about tasting wines made from grapes influenced by lakes, rivers, oceans, and seas. My current wine obsession is what I like to call “Coastal Whites”. Wines from the coasts of Italy, Spain, France, Croatia, Greece, and Portugal. I’m attracted to that sensation of ocean air, Mediterranean fruits, shellfish, sand, and sea water that you get when you drink these wines. Our ‘Albus’ is made from 100% Alvarinho (Portuguese version of Albariño) grapes. It is the Northern most Alvarinho found in the Willamette Valley, Oregon.

2018
After many years of minute quantities, we were gifted with a bumper crop. This bumper crop yielded a whopping 25 cases. An incredible inaugural effort, this wine bursts of limes, sea breeze, salt, and yellow flowers. The wine was aged in neutral French Oak barrels for 10 months and bottled unfined (vegan) and unfiltered. This is the first ever release of a 100% Alvarinho in Oregon.
2019
We pushed elevage to accentuate more texture from lees contact. The same salted lime zest and ocean influences dominate this wine. We are taking things a set further and aging it in bottle for another 7 months, to help prove that Alvarinho is a better candidate as a king white grape in the Willamette Valley.
