      <image:title>PIQUETTE - 2020 ‘Chios’ Syrah - Piquette Red Wine</image:title>
<image:caption>We love drinking wine. Lora / Piquette is a wine for drinkers. For people who want multiple glasses of wine without the excessive inebriation, lora / piquette is the answer! Our 2020 ‘Chios’ is made without any added sulfur, from the must of our Syrah grapes. The resulting wine is low in alcohol, clean, refreshing, fruity, and aromatic. This is a wine style that is perfect for all seasons and moments. THIS IS NOT A SPARKLING VERSION OF PIQUETTE. Drink in moderation…….drink piquette! The Island of Chios, pronounced (SHEE-OSH) was one of the most famous wine regions in ancient Greece. These wines were exported all over the Mediterranean in clay amphorae. We named our Lora / Piquette in honor of this important style of wine and the island that made it famous.</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - ALBERTO Tempranillo - 2017</image:title>
<image:caption>Our first vintage. I was able to secure a tiny amount of each of the experimental grapes from the XXXX Vineyard. Alvarinho, Grenache, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Viognier were all destemmed and layered in a fermenter in a method we call the “lasagna method”. The grapes on top were gently disturbed twice a day until fermentation began. Once fermentation started, we pumped the juice over once a day. This wine had ZERO added sulfites and was bottled unfined (vegan) and unfiltered.</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - ALBERTO Tempranillo - 2018</image:title>
<image:caption>With more access to fruit from the XXXX Vineyard we decided to make individual wines from the same experimental grapes. With the 2018 vintage we co-fermented the Tempranillo and Grenache. For more structure, during fermentation we punched down twice a day. This wine was aged in a mixture of 3-4 year old French oak barrels and was topped during elevation with Graciano. Not your typical American Tempranillo. Decant this wine and serve at cellar temperature.</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - ALBERTO Tempranillo - 2019</image:title>
<image:caption>With the success of the idea to top with Graciano, we set out to replace the Grenache. This co-fermentation of Graciano, Syrah, and mostly Tempranillo, the 2019 is the most structured wine to date. An incredible core of dark fruit notes, incense, and old leather, this wine was left in barrel for 18 months, then bottled unfined (vegan) and unfiltered.</image:caption>

<image:caption>After many years of minute quantities, we were gifted with a bumper crop. This bumper crop yielded a whopping 25 cases. An incredible inaugural effort, this wine bursts of limes, sea breeze, salt, and yellow flowers. The wine was aged in neutral French Oak barrels for 10 months and bottled unfined (vegan) and unfiltered. This is the first ever release of a 100% Alvarinho in Oregon.</image:caption>

<image:caption>We pushed elevage to accentuate more texture from lees contact. The same salted lime zest and ocean influences dominate this wine. We are taking things a set further and aging it in bottle for another 7 months, to help prove that Alvarinho is a better candidate as a king white grape in the Willamette Valley.</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - FOR BRUCE Syrah - 2015</image:title>
<image:caption>Fermented partially whole cluster, this wine has all of the volatile notes that some Syrah lovers enjoy. This wine is the first release from the DIONYSTIC family of wines and we are honored to also join a small club of producers who are working with Syrah in the Willamette Valley. Our future is bright. “I'm sure many will be reminded of places like Cornas or St. Joseph, but this is something Oregon should be proud to call its own.” - Michael Alberty, Wine Writer, August 2016</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - FOR BRUCE Syrah - 2018</image:title>
<image:caption>Our most elegant Syrah to date. This co-fermentation of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier is a field of roses in the bottle. This has all the power and grace that you would expect from a cool climate Syrah. This wine is still so young. ”The 2018 Syrah “For Bruce” includes five percent Viognier in the blend, with the two grapes co-fermented. The wine is named for a long-time vineyard manager in Oregon, Bruce Biehl, who was pushing vineyard owners to see beyond pinot noir when planting new vineyards back in the 1990s. These grapes hail from one of those vineyards on the northern fringe of the Willamette Valley, where the owner took Bruce’s advice. The wine is co-fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in older casks for eight months, prior to bottling unfined and unfiltered. It comes in at 14.1 percent octane in 2018 and offers up a fine, youthful nose of cassis, black olive, pepper, grilled meats, dark soil tones and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and tightly-knit, with excellent focus and grip, tangy acids, a fine core of fruit and very good soil signature on the long, ripely tannic and very promising finish. This is an excellent bottle of young syrah- just add a modicum of patience to the recipe and let it blossom properly with bottle age! 2028-2060. 92+” -View from the Cellar #90 Nov-Dec 2020 (John Gilman)</image:caption>

<image:caption>One of the most aromatically explosive wines we have made. Black cherry, violets, game, iron, and blood oranges. This wine is still so wound-up and requires more bottle aging before we release it. Expect this sometime in the Spring of 2021.</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - FOR BRUCE Syrah - 2020</image:title>
<image:caption>Still in barrel. This one is another strong example of why Syrah is one of the great red grapes in the Willamette Valley. Many consider this a terrible vintage, due to the fires. But, our vineyards were spared and the fruit and resulting wine are phenomenal. We are excited to release this to you one day.</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - GRILLET Viognier - 2018</image:title>
<image:caption>We set out to create two different styles of Viognier in 2018. The first was a hard pressed white wine that was fermented in neutral French oak barrels. After a 2 month elevage, the wine was racked out and moved to Acacia wood puncheons. Those puncheons had lees from our ‘Peach Skin” orange Viognier. The resulting wine has both French oak and Acacia wood influences. The Acacia helps to highlight the peach blossom aromatics of Viognier without the perfume notes that can be too off putting.</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - GRILLET Viognier - 2019</image:title>
<image:caption>With the success of our partial Acacia wood elevage from the 2018 vintage we decided to ferment and age in Acacia puncheons. The power, the acidity, the aromatics are a dance. This wine needs decanting and it needs to be served at cellar temperature. Only then will this wine show it’s brilliant self.</image:caption>

      <image:title>WINES - PEACH SKIN Orange Viognier - 2018</image:title>
<image:caption>It all begins with an idea and a passion for a specific style of wine. We fermented this wine on skins until dryness, then pressed off into Acacia puncheons. The resulting wine gives off a golden orange hue and a density that reminds us of great red wines. This wine has all the structure of great orange wines and the aromatics of a white wine.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The 2019 vintage was fermented to full dryness then pressed off into used French oak barrels for a 10 month elevage. This wine shows off the power of Viognier. Incredible structure in this wine, with peach pit, chalk, and peach blossom notes. This will age gracefully for years to come. Decant and serve at cellar temperature. <image:title>WINES - PEACH SKIN Orange Viognier - 2020</image:title>
<image:caption>This grape suffered from bloom damage. The resulting clusters were not uniform with lots of shot berries and strange morphology. The berries were much smaller than normal, so there was a greater skin to juice ratio. This vintage will be tough to repeat. The structure is off the charts. A strong candidate for over vintaging the wine.</image:caption>

This is one of the best Syrahs ever made from the Willamette Valley. Lavender, Sauvage, Iodine, Charcuterie, Red fruits, and an incredibly clean and fresh finish. This wine clocks in at just under 12% alcohol which is shocking given the weight and depth that this wine provides. The future of Syrah in the Willamette Valley is strong.</image:caption>
